Graham tipped for £30m Birmingham tech hub

Construction & Build

Developer Bruntwood SciTech is understood to be in talks with Graham Construction to build a £30m tech campus in Birmingham city centre.

Called Enterprise Wharf, the 11-storey project will be constructed on vacant land at Innovation Birmingham in the city’s Eastside area next to the new HS2 station, Aston University, and Birmingham City University.

The block designed by Associated Architects to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating has planning for 120,000 sq ft of flexible office space aimed at tech and digital businesses.

The building will feature a large, open plan reception and collaboration space, cycle storage and kit drying room, showers and a roof garden and will be delivered alongside new public realm, including improved access to the adjacent Birmingham and Fazeley canal.

Enterprise Wharf is the latest phase of expansion at Innovation Birmingham which has already seen iCentrum Universities Centre developed in recent years next to the long-standing Faraday Wharf building.
