Willmott Dixon wins £16m leisure centre in Nottingham

Construction & Build

Willmott Dixon is limbering up to take another leisure centre job – this time in the East Midlands.

Rushcliffe Borough Council has appointed the firm to deliver its Bingham town project, which will include a 25m competition pool, learner pool, gym, new community centre and office development.

Willmott Dixon won the bid contest against rivals Kier and Morgan Sindall for the job which also includes building an adjacent community hall and serviced offices.

Derby-based architect YMD Boon designed the two-storey building, which will be erected at Chapel Lane on the former site of a builders’ merchant depot.
