Saxton appointed as exclusive permanent recruitment partner to Woodhead Group

Residential & Regeneration, Permanent, Construction & Build...

I am delighted to announce that Saxton Recruitment has been named as the exclusive recruitment partner to Woodhead Group.

Woodhead Group have a track record of delivering award-winning new build housing, commercial and education projects, and we couldn’t be happier to have been invited to be their partner for permanent recruitment.

I have a long trading history working with Woodhead Group which started back in 2005 whilst I was a newbie Trainee Recruitment Consultant at Hays Construction & Property. I can’t believe it was over 17 years ago *gulp* when David Deemer took me along to my first introductory meeting with Teresa Westwood.

Dave was an amazing consultant, an inspirational manager and a great artist too - applying his skills to an expertly drawn pie chart demonstrating ‘active’, ‘semi active’ and ‘non active’ candidates in the market, and how we could help bring all three of these lovely pieces of pie to the table.

Tereasa and I developed a great relationship over the years and successfully ran several branded recruitment campaigns in the trade press - old school or what!?!

Following the move to the new office in Edwinstowe, I was asked to head up a recruitment drive for 10 new staff members. I managed to fill 9 of the 10 roles within 3 months… but failed miserably trying to find an elusive estimator - which still haunts me to this day!

By this time, I had developed a real passion for the business and when I finally setup Saxton Recruitment it was clear that our core values had been hugely influenced by theirs, with ‘integrity’ sitting firmly in the centre.

It has been amazing working with Janine Borderick, Sam Costall and Tia Pinnock who have been instrumental in organising the agreement – thank you so much.  I would like to thank Joseph Hughes and Tia Cooke too, as without them this would never have happened without them.
