Senior Quantity Surveyor - Tier 1

Senior Quantity Surveyor - a leading Tier 1 contractor is searching for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team delivering projects across the South West. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to deliver a mixture of framework and negotiated projects for a 'people friendly' contractor with excellent staff retention and a high level of repeat business.

They are also partners on several frameworks including SCAPE, MOJ, P23+. Department for Education (DfE) and as such have an extremely strong pipeline of work and a full order book for 2024 / 2025 / 2026.

The initial projects include a higher education development (£20m), an extension to a prison (£8m) and a new build office complex (£20m).

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Commercial lead of Design & Build projects from £5m - £25m
- Negotiate terms and conditions with subcontracts and suppliers
- Ensure all contract terms are met and approve eligible payments
- Manage and payments for specialist subcontracts and suppliers
- Review and validate actual costs against forecasted costs
- Administer the contract in line with project progress

Requirements:
- Experience as a lead Quantity Surveyor with a Main Contractor
- Experience as the commercial lead on D&B projects £5m+
- Experienced negotiator and excellent communicator
- Industry related qualification/s

Salary & Package:
- Great basic salary of £64,000 - £70,000
- Company car or allowance (£6,500)
- Performance related bonus (10%)
